The contributions of large donors go directly into a tangible asset—a sparkling new library double its previous size, brand new library books, and funding to generate a volunteer reading program.  Donors are invited to visit their library and see how it becomes a sanctuary for students who do not have a quiet place to study, an invaluable aid to teachers and administrators, and a place for parents to spend safe and quiet reading time with their children.  Large donors attend their library grand opening as a special guest of the school and The Wonder of Reading.  Those who donate $50,000 have a permanent plaque bearing their name displayed on the library wall.

By becoming a large donor, you are doing much more than building a library: you are transforming an entire school and its surrounding community.  Your dollars benefit today's students and put in place resources that will benefit future generations for years to come.

LARGE DONOR GIVING CATEGORIES

• School Sponsors (Investment of $50,000 or more)
  Provide funds for implementing the 3R Program
  (Renovate, Restock, and Read) at one school.

• Program Sponsors (Investment of $10,000 or more)
  Awards two Wonder of Reading Literacy Grants that provide
  schools with new library books and literacy programs.

• Library Sponsors (Investment of $5,000 or more)
  Builds new "story steps" in a library - classes use this mini-amphitheater
  for read-alouds and book discussions.

• Reading Sponsors (Investment of $2,500 or more)
  Funds a presentation for students by a children's book author or illustrator.
